Prince von Pückler (1785-1871) was a free spirit, an aristocratic dandy and world traveler, a landscape architect, a best-selling author - and creator of numerous recipes full of ingenuity and sophistication. Pückler left more than 3,500 menus to his posterity, collected in five precious table books that are still considered an inspiring treasure of European culinary art. We designed and art directed the book so it would invite the viewer on a culinary and visual journey. Even when served on original tableware, and staged in Pückler's original dining halls of Branitz Palace, the styling and graphic layout highlight the modernity of the recipes.
